A bit of my journey
Vívian Navarro is a professionally trained flautist from São Paulo – Brazil. She holds a diploma in music teaching and performance from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, which she completed following her bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from the Faculty of Arts Alcantara Machado (Brazil). In 2024, she joined the orchestra of the Saluzzo Opera Academy (Italy), participating in its summer concert series. She joined several orchestras in her country, frequently playing at the acclaimed Sala São Paulo (Latin America's main concert hall).
For four years, she served as the principal flautist and principal woodwind player of the Santo Amaro Philharmonic Orchestra (OFISA), where she had the opportunity to perform Pergolesi's flute concerto for flute and orchestra as a soloist.
She has also participated in renowned festivals and courses, such as the Scottish International Flute Summer School in Perth – Scotland, the Galway Flute Festival in Weggis – Switzerland and many more on her native country. Additionally, she has had the opportunity to hone her skills by participating in masterclasses with notable flautists, such as Ian Clarke, Michael Cox, Sir James Galway, Lady Jeanne Galway, Ruth Morley, Julie Stewart-Lefin, Wissam Boustany, Cláudia Nascimento, Renan Mendes, Andrea Cristina Vilella and more.
Vívian has taught people of all ages and various skill levels and has numerous years of experience preparing students for exams.
In 2011, Vívian was also part of the Teatro Lírico de Equipe Orchestra, performing concerts at São Pedro Theater and contributed to the social project of the Edmundo Villani-Côrtes Symphony Orchestra.
